This project shows how contact between the drawing tool and paper affects the physical result. As the marker follows repeated curves, friction produces audible squeaks and uneven ink transfer. Students can use it to consider how pen pressure, drawing speed and paper texture influence line quality, then test different combinations to reduce unwanted marks or use these material effects deliberately.
